2019 Mazda6 Earns IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK Award
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) today announced that the 2019 Mazda6 has earned its “TOP SAFETY PICK” award when equipped with specific headlights.
To qualify as a 2019 TOP SAFETY PICK, a vehicle must earn good ratings in the driver-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests, as well as a good or acceptable rating in the passenger-side small overlap front test. It also needs an advanced or superior rating for front crash prevention and a good or acceptable headlight rating.
The 2019 Mazda6 earns good ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness evaluations.

2019 Mazda3 Earned IIHS Top Safety Pick Award
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) today announced that the 2019 Mazda3 hatchback and sedan have both earned “TOP SAFETY PICK” awards. The hatchback earns the award with standard equipment, while the sedan qualifies when equipped with optional front crash prevention technology.

2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Diesel Arrives
Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) announced at the 2019 New York International Auto Show the arrival of the 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature AWD featuring the Skyactiv-D 2.2-liter diesel engine with pre-sales beginning immediately. The show was open to the public from April 19-28.
In his speech, Chairman and CEO of MNAO, Masahiro Moro shared updates on Mazda’s journey to Japanese premium along with the ground breaking of Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A., Inc. (MTMUS) and the recent leadership enhancements. He introduced Jeffrey Guyton as the new President of MNAO, who brings over 20 years of executive experience from Mazda Motor Europe (MME), as well as vast knowledge related to Mazda’s biggest announcement of the day – the long-awaited arrival of Mazda’s diesel engine to the U.S.
