Mazda Motor Corporation has been newly selected to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)*1 “World Index” and “Asia Pacific Index”*2, one of the global ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) indexes*3.
DJSI assesses the companies’ sustainability performance from various items, such as environmental measures, social contribution or human capital development, corporate governance or compliance. By annually, excellent companies in each industry will be selected to global and regional indexes.
Before the selection, Mazda was assessed by the company’s response in RobecoSAM’s questionnaire, the company’s information disclosure through Mazda Sustainability Report, Annual Report, and official website. Mazda’s initiatives and information disclosure received high evaluation through these assessments. In 2016, Mazda was selected to RobecoSAM Sustainability Award 2017 as the most improved company in their industry*4.
Cx-5’s interior indulges both heart and soul
What does it mean to craft something, rather than simply assembling it? The difference is attention to detail. When Mazda designed the all-new 2017 CX-5 crossover SUV, the goal was to create a crafted interior with a sharp focus on how the driver and passengers perceive comforts and create a unique connection with the vehicle.
To achieve “oneness” between a vehicle and its driver, Mazda engineers were inspired by the Japanese concept of “Jinba Ittai,” or “horse and rider as one.” When a vehicle becomes an extension of the driver, only then is harmony achieved. Providing better control and confidence means every drive is an elevated experience. That’s why every Mazda, from the throttle response and driver-centered cockpits to their agile steering delivers this feeling of Jinba Ittai.

In the wake of the continued impact of Hurricane Harvey on the greater Houston area, and the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Irma across Florida, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) and the Mazda Foundation (USA), Inc., today announced an additional immediate $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross. This donation comes after an announcement last week whereby Mazda donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The Mazda Foundation and MNAO have been long-standing partners with the American Red Cross. Through the partnership, MNAO is a $1-million member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP). As an ADGP member, Mazda’s donation helps ensure that the Red Cross has the necessary resources to respond to disasters large and small, helping people whenever and wherever it is needed.

Much like Mazda’s entire lineup, CX-9 continues to garner praise from media and consumers alike. The 2017 Mazda CX-9 three-row crossover SUV further adds to the list of recognitions, earning Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Award as the top midsize crossover SUV in its segment.
Mazda’s standout crossover SUV remains the flagship of Mazda’s lineup, positioned to push the brand to new, aspirational heights. Strategic Vision clearly agreed with its Total Quality Impact report, which is a complete, holistic measure of the total quality of vehicle ownership experience, encompassing the positive and negative product experience, including reliability, driving excitement and other aspects of dealership experiences—all energized by the emotional response associated with the experiences. Strategic Vision surveyed customers about even the smallest details, including sound of the engine, quality of the interior seat material and the overall performance.

From its bold looks to the class-above experience it offers the driver and passengers, Mazda’s CX-9 has earned a reputation for excellence, being named a finalist for both North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and World Car of the Year.
Mazda engineers haven’t rested on their laurels, however, adding numerous upgrades to the 2018 CX-9 flagship crossover SUV, further strengthening the “Mazda Premium” indulgences it provides. Among the highlights are more features at every price point such as an improved second row for both greater comfort and easier third-row access and greater sound insulation in what is already one of the quietest vehicles in its class[2].

Labor Day weekend has remained one of the most popular celebrations in America. After all it is the last big weekend of the season. We hope you enjoy this long weekend with family and friends. Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Already a standout for its impressive fuel-efficiency, award-winning design, top safety scores, spirited driving dynamics and upscale amenities, the Mazda CX-3 subcompact crossover SUV has undergone its first round of thoughtful improvements, treating drivers to an impressive value with available features they might not find in vehicles costing twice as much.
Newly standard for every trim level is Smart City Brake Support, which can automatically apply the brakes in emergency situations below 19 mph. Part I: Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Commonly, we think the lead singer is the band. He or she is the only reason the band ever became famous—or so we’re led to believe. Remember, though, there’s the drummer keeping beat, a bassist supporting the timing of the rhythm guitarist and perhaps a few uncredited backup singers making the singer’s voice sound extra powerful.

Mazda to further reduce CO2 emissions by making fundamental improvements to core technologies
Environmental Technology Philosophy
In March 2007, Mazda announced the “Sustainable Zoom-Zoom” plan, detailing the company’s long-term vision for technology development. This vision commits us to make “cars that always excite, look inviting to drive, are fun to drive, and make you want to drive them again,” and to help achieve “an exciting, sustainable future for cars, people and the Earth”. Based on this plan, in June 2008, we announced that by 2015 we intend to make a 30 percent improvement on the 2008 average fuel economy of Mazda vehicles sold worldwide.
