Cx-5’s interior indulges both heart and soul
What does it mean to craft something, rather than simply assembling it? The difference is attention to detail. When Mazda designed the all-new 2017 CX-5 crossover SUV, the goal was to create a crafted interior with a sharp focus on how the driver and passengers perceive comforts and create a unique connection with the vehicle.
To achieve “oneness” between a vehicle and its driver, Mazda engineers were inspired by the Japanese concept of “Jinba Ittai,” or “horse and rider as one.” When a vehicle becomes an extension of the driver, only then is harmony achieved. Providing better control and confidence means every drive is an elevated experience. That’s why every Mazda, from the throttle response and driver-centered cockpits to their agile steering delivers this feeling of Jinba Ittai.

In the wake of the continued impact of Hurricane Harvey on the greater Houston area, and the recent destruction caused by Hurricane Irma across Florida, Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) and the Mazda Foundation (USA), Inc., today announced an additional immediate $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross. This donation comes after an announcement last week whereby Mazda donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The Mazda Foundation and MNAO have been long-standing partners with the American Red Cross. Through the partnership, MNAO is a $1-million member of the Red Cross Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP). As an ADGP member, Mazda’s donation helps ensure that the Red Cross has the necessary resources to respond to disasters large and small, helping people whenever and wherever it is needed.

Much like Mazda’s entire lineup, CX-9 continues to garner praise from media and consumers alike. The 2017 Mazda CX-9 three-row crossover SUV further adds to the list of recognitions, earning Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Award as the top midsize crossover SUV in its segment.
Mazda’s standout crossover SUV remains the flagship of Mazda’s lineup, positioned to push the brand to new, aspirational heights. Strategic Vision clearly agreed with its Total Quality Impact report, which is a complete, holistic measure of the total quality of vehicle ownership experience, encompassing the positive and negative product experience, including reliability, driving excitement and other aspects of dealership experiences—all energized by the emotional response associated with the experiences. Strategic Vision surveyed customers about even the smallest details, including sound of the engine, quality of the interior seat material and the overall performance.

From its bold looks to the class-above experience it offers the driver and passengers, Mazda’s CX-9 has earned a reputation for excellence, being named a finalist for both North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and World Car of the Year.
Mazda engineers haven’t rested on their laurels, however, adding numerous upgrades to the 2018 CX-9 flagship crossover SUV, further strengthening the “Mazda Premium” indulgences it provides. Among the highlights are more features at every price point such as an improved second row for both greater comfort and easier third-row access and greater sound insulation in what is already one of the quietest vehicles in its class[2].
